Em nome da Honmon Butsuryu-Shu, dirijo minhas palavras de incentivo a todos os fiéis no mundo que lutam contra o Novo Corona vírus. Em função da proliferação mundial do vírus, gostaria aqui de compartilhar a dor de todos os nossos entes religiosos que encaram este sofrimento, deixando minhas sinceras palavras e assumindo o comprometimento de orarmos pelo fim dessa situação.

O Covid-19 que surgiu no final de 2019 no extremo oriente, se alastrou rapidamente pelo mundo infectando inúmeras pessoas e levando muitas outras à morte. Em 11 de março a OMS (Organização Mundial de Saúde) declarou a Pandemia, e após isso vários países começaram a fechar as suas fronteiras. A crise mundial financeira, a influência na realização das Olimpíadas, o fato de sequer sabermos sobre algum remédio que leve à cura da doença, além da insegurança do futuro incerto, leva muitas pessoas à angústia e receio ao verem as bases sociais ruindo.

Dentro do Japão, de certa forma, a proliferação em níveis alarmantes foi contida. Ainda existem cidades e vilas sem infectados. No entanto, a situação não permite alívio, e o governo através do incentivo ao “Reinício das Atividades Cotidianas”, se prepara para evitar uma nova onda avassaladora de infecção. E no exterior, pelo que ouço, a situação é realmente grave.

Mas alegro-me profundamente em ouvir que todos estão buscando proteção no Darma Sagrado Myouhou, e que pelo incentivo mútuo procuram superar esta situação dolorosa.

Na Itália, segundo o relatório do Sacerdote Daniele Ryosei, devido às inúmeras mortes diárias, foram proibidas as saídas além de 250 metros da própria casa. E fecharam todos os estabelecimentos, exceto farmácias e mercados. No entanto, os fiéis, em horários definidos de manhã e à noite, juntos oram em suas respectivas residências e recebem o ensinamento do sacerdote via internet. Ao mesmo tempo aproveitam para confraternizar, trocar opiniões e incentivos. No relatório que recebi constam palavras revigorantes como: “Não sei se adoecerei ou não. Mas rogo para que até o fim eu possa propagar o Darma Sagrado de Buda ao máximo possível de pessoas.”, “Pela força de Buda e do Namumyouhourenguekyou, nos uniremos mais ainda em proteção à vida humana, e erradicaremos o mais rápido possível essa assustadora doença.”, “Sinto muito produtivo um dia em que oro por várias horas, faço vários contatos por telefone, via mensagens, e em que também me preparo para a transmissão do ensinamento.”

São palavras que refletem o enaltecimento da fé mesmo em meio à cruel realidade. É possível sentir a intensidade das preces pela expansão e pelo fim da pandemia.

No Brasil, segundo relatos de Nitiyuu Correia, foram fechados os estabelecimentos, exceto mercados, postos de gasolina e farmácias. E como Templos e igrejas foram incluídos na quarentena, ele próprio teve que conter um Grande Culto que contaria com 500 presenças. Encontrou saída celebrando-o em três sessões somando 50 pessoas, às demais foi solicitada a participação online, de onde também ouviu relatos de gratidão de pessoas que graças à transmissão puderam participar das três sessões.

E ainda acrescenta “A realidade faz lembrar as palavras de abertura da Escritura Risshou Ankokuron, de Nitiren Daibossatsu. É o momento de compartilharmos da árdua prática ascética de Buda, dos Três Grandes Mestres e do nosso Nissui Shounin, tudo que passaram por nós. Quem não despertar para a fé agora vai esperar até quando?”, enfatizando assim a adversidade como o motivo maior de esforço. E relata “Ouvi pessoas dizerem que cancelariam os cultos, mas isso não faz nenhum sentido. Como pode-se rezar pela erradicação do vírus cancelando os cultos levianamente. Isso não deve acontecer, já que é possível criar outros meios de obtermos êxito na pratica da fé.”

Na Sri Lanka, o sacerdote Delipa Ryojun, relata que nos últimos dias as infecções dispararam e, durante 10 dias, até o dia 27 de março, todas as atividades do país foram paralisadas. Em função disso com cerca de 100 famílias de fiéis, em sistema de revezamento 24 horas, realizaram orações fervorosas por sete dias. Em suas palavras “Momentos de sofrimentos como esse não é para se passar sozinho. E para orarmos e recebermos as bênçãos juntos. Estou postando na internet imagens de incentivo em que estou orando. E graças a essa motivação todos estão realizando gohoukos com alegria.”

O sacerdote nepalês, Kadoka Seiji, que cuida do Núcleo da HBS na Índia, relata “A situação é crítica. Acredito que após essa pandemia passar, não só eu como toda a humanidade teremos uma nova visão de realidade e saberemos tratar a vida e a natureza com mais carinho.”

E o sacerdote, Tahal Seiten, responsável do Núcleo HBS no Nepal, cita em seu relatório “Estamos orando continuamente pela mais rápida superação dessa situação e também por um futuro melhor para todos. Se for preciso morrerei em devoção ao nobre Darma Myouhou e para zelar da Torre do Odaimoku pela Paz.”

Cada qual em seus relatos não recuam nem se assustam, pelo contrário, encontram motivação para lapidar ainda mais a prática religiosa. Expressões de fé encorajadoras do tipo “Com a proteção do Darma Sagrado vamos superar este sofrimento” e “Vamos fazer deste momento uma virada na expansão” nos remetem às palavras de Nitiren Daibossatsu, quando congelava em seu exílio de Sado e declarou:

“As divindades celestiais podem até me abandonar, e que os obstáculos venham, pois em prol do Darma já ofereci a minha vida.”

Ou seja, mesmo em um verdadeiro estado de abandono, em que as divindades que deveriam protegerem-no como devoto do Sutra Lótus, desafiou as dificuldades em demonstração da sua determinação e plena devoção. Uma verdadeira afirmação da sua identidade primordial.

Ao ouvir as palavras de todos que enfrentam tal momento, sinto o legítimo espírito que descende de um bodhisattva do Budismo Primordial.

Nitiren Daibossatsu também cita:

“É o espírito de devoção despertado pela doença”.

Essa nova doença que está assolando a humanidade e deixando muitas vítimas, ao mesmo tempo deve fazer-nos despertar para a verdadeira prática da fé e expansão do Darma Sagrado Myouhou a todas as pessoas que sofrem.

Agora é a hora, de todos os fiéis do mundo se unirem em orações perante o Gohouzen, pela erradicação dessa doença, pela paz mundial e pela propagação do Darma Sagrado Myouhou por todo o mundo. Certamente estarei orando junto a todos.

激励のことば

2020年3⽉27⽇    本⾨佛⽴宗 宗務本庁  弘通局⻑ 吉⽥⽇景 海外部⻑ ⻑松清潤

ありがとうございます。 今、まさに新型コロナウイルスと闘う本⾨佛⽴宗の海外教区の皆さんに、宗内教講の思いを代 弁して、ここに激励のことばを送ります。

新型コロナウイルスの世界的な感染拡⼤により、さまざまな苦悩に直⾯している世界中の佛 ⽴信者に対し、所懐の⼀端を述べて苦難を分かち、そのご信⼼を励まして、共に終息を祈って います。

2019年の暮、極東の街に発⽣した新型コロナウイルスは、瞬く間に世界の国々に蔓延し、毎⽇ 多くの感染者、そして死者を出しています。3⽉11⽇にはＷＨＯ（世界保健機関）がパンデミッ ク相当と評価をし、国境を封鎖する国が続出。世界的な経済危機や五輪開催の是⾮にまで影響 を及ぼす勢いで、いまだ病気の実体も分からず、特効薬もなく、先の⾒通しも⽴たない不安に 加え、⽣活の基盤が崩れていく⼼細さに憂いを覚える⼈も少なくない世相です。

⽇本の国内は、それでも爆発的な感染の拡⼤は押さえ込み、今のところは発症者のない市町村 も多く、予断を許さない中にも政府はオーバーシュート（爆発的患者急増）を避ける対策を講 じての「⽇常活動の再開」を呼び掛けていますが、海外教区においては報告を聞く限り、事態 はとても深刻です。しかし、その中で妙法のご加護を信じ、励まし合ってこの苦難を乗り切ろ うと努⼒される様⼦には、⼼から随喜をいたしました。

イタリア教区のダニエッレ良誓師の報告では、毎⽇多くの死者が出る中、4⽉末までは家から 250メートルを超えた外出が禁⽌され、⾷料品店と薬局以外は閉店しているそうですが、ご信者 たちは朝晩の決まった時間に⼀緒にお看経をし、インターネットで御法⾨を聴聞。また互いの 悩みを聞く等の交流をして⽀え合っているようです。報告書には「病気になるかどうか分かり ませんが、御法さまを最後までお弘めさせていただいて、⼀⼈でも多くの⽅に御題⽬⼝唱をお 勧めすることが出来るよう願っています」「み仏と御題⽬のお⼒により、私たちは⼀つとなっ て、すべての⼈の命を守り、速やかにこの恐ろしい病を終息させます」「１⽇の間、何時間も ⼝唱し、御法⾨を準備し、電話やメールに応えることで、私の⼀⽇はとても充実しています」 等と⾔葉が添えられ、過酷な状況の中でご信⼼を⾼め、ご弘通の伸展と感染の終息を祈って活 動される様⼦が伝わります。

ブラジル教区のコレイア⽇友師の報告には、政府がスーパーと薬局、ガソリンスタンド以外は 寺院も含めて活動を停⽌させる中、御会式を奉修したと記されていました。500名の参詣⽬標を 50名に押さえ、あとは泣く泣くオンラインの参詣で対応したところ、インターネットのお陰で 三座とも参詣できたという喜びの声が届いたとのこと。コレイア師は「本当に⽴正安国論の冒頭を思い起させられる現状です。み仏はもとより、三祖聖⼈、先師上⼈や⽇⽔上⼈のご苦労を 偲ばせていただくのにすごい時です。これでご信⼼の覚悟を決めない⼈は、いつ決めるのと⾔ いたいところです」と逆境を喜び、また「多くの⽅が御講キャンセルを⼝にしており、これは けしからんことです。早期終息をご祈願しながらキャンセルとは何事か(略)政府に合わせるこ とはあっても、ご奉公キャンセルはあり得ないです。⽅法によってはご奉公の功績をあげるこ とが⼗分可能です」とも語っています。

スリランカ教区のディリーパ良潤師の報告では、ここ数⽇で爆発的に感染者が増加し、3⽉27 ⽇までの10⽇ほどは国全体の活動が停⽌する中、百軒ほどのご信者を中⼼に、⼀週間連続の24 時間⼝唱をリレーで⾏っているそうです。報告書には「この苦しい時期、⼀⼈じゃない。皆で お計らいをいただいて乗り越えようと、皆の気持ちを⾼めるためにインターネット上に⾃宅の 御宝前や⾃分のお看経の姿を載せています。皆さん、すごく喜んでご奉公させていただいてお ります」とありました。 インド教区の親会場を守るネパール⼈教務のカドゥカ清池師の報告には、厳しいインドの状 況に添えて「この伝染病の終息後、私は私を含めた⼈類が、これまでの在り⽅を変え、より⾃ 然に優しい⽣き⽅へ向かうと信じています」と語られています。 ネパールの親会場でご奉公するダハール清天師の報告書には「私たちはここで、世界的な伝染 病について祈願⼝唱を重ねています」「私はより良い未来のために、この尊い教えと平和題⽬ 塔を、死ぬまでお守り申し上げます」と記されていました。

それぞれに過酷な現状に怯まず、否、過酷故に⼀層に信⼼を研ぎ澄まし、「御法のご加護を得 てこの苦難を乗り切ろう」「これをご弘通の転機としよう」と⽴ち向かう様は、正に⾼祖が極 寒の佐渡で、「詮ずるところは天も捨て給え。諸難にもあえ。⾝命を期とせん」と、法華経の ⾏者を守護する諸天が捨ててもよい。あらゆる苦難よ来たれ。妙法弘通に命を懸けるのみであ ると仰せの、本化地涌の流類たる佛⽴菩薩の真⾻頂を⾒る思いで、実に頼もしく感じます。

⾼祖⽇蓮⼤⼠は「病によりて道⼼は起こり候か」と仰せです。このたびの新しい病は今、⼈類 の⼤きな脅威となり、多くの犠牲者を出していますが、同時に末代凡夫のお互いを真の信⼼に ⽬覚めさせ、苦悩する多くの⼈を妙法に導く機会をいただいてもいるのです。

今こそ、世界中の宗⾨⼈が⼼を⼀つにし、この病の早期終息と世界の恒久平和、⼀天四海皆帰 妙法を御宝前に祈りましょう。私たちもまた、皆さんと共に祈っています。

Words of Encouragement for HBS members of Overseas Parish

 Arigatougozaimasu.

We on behalf of all HBS members’ feelings, would like to send words of encouragement to HBS members of overseas parish who are combating a pandemic outbreak of new coronavirus.  Further, we would like to express our heartfelt feelings to you who encounter various hardships due to this pandemic as we share your burden. We also encourage your faith of the Odaimoku and together we shall pray for ‘Coronavirus outbreak to end soon’.

New coronavirus occurred in the Far East city at the end of 2019, has been spread to multiple countries around the world by now, resulting a lot of patients and deaths. The coronavirus outbreak was declared as a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) on March 11, and many countries have closed their borders. Moreover, it has a great influence on global financial crisis and whether or not ‘The 2020 Olympics’ought to be held. We don’t know what will happen, because we still do not know the substance of the disease and there is no specific medicine.

Japan has suppressed ‘an explosion level spread’ at the moment and there are no virus carriers in some municipalities. In an unpredictable situation, the Japanese government announced the resumption of daily activities with measures to avoid overshoot of an explosion level. Yet according to the reports from overseas parishes, we think that their situation is very serious. However, we are delighted that many HBS members believe the protection of Buddha and encourage one another to overcome our sufferings.

According to the report of Chiaffi Ryosei-shi in Italy, it is forbidden for them to leave over 250 meters away from their houses until the end of April, and stores except grocery stores and pharmacies are closed in Italy. All Italian practitioners pray and listen to Gohomon (an instructive sermon), on the Internet every morning and every evening at the same time. Then, they support each other while exchange their worries and advices.

The report says that “I don’t know if I will get sick but I just hope I can spread the Dharma to the end and encourage others to chant.” “May the power of the Buddha and the power of Odaimoku all come together with our faith and they protect everyone’s life and soon end this terrible epidemic.” “I am very satisfied with chanting Odaimoku, preparing Gohoumon, and contacting members by telephone and email every day.”

From the reports, we feel that they are improving their own faith and fulfil their mission in this serious situation while praying for end of Coronavirus outbreak.

According to the reports of Correia Nichiyuu-shi in Brazil, the Brazilian government ordered that all facilities including Temples except grocery stores, pharmacies and gas stations be shut down, but it seems that Oeshiki in Brazil was still conducted while adhering to safety measures. They reluctantly changed the number of attendees from 500 to 50, and made possible for other HBS members to participate in the Oeshiki via Online method. Thanks to the internet, a lot of members were delighted that they were able to chant Odaimoku many times.

Correia-shi says “current state looks like the beginning of RISSHO ANKOKU-RON. I think that now is time to think of the hardships of the Buddha, Nichiren Shonin, Nichiryu Shonin, Nissen Shonin, past priests and Nissui Shonin. If you do not decide to be religious in this situation, I would like to ask you

‘when will you?’ ”.

Further he says “many members have cancelled their Oko meetings since the outbreak of the new coronavirus, but it is impolite to cancel it while praying for the end of Coronavirus outbreak soon…(shortened.) Following government policy is good, but never cancel your services. We can still continue our service in another method and it is possible to make great achievements of your service”.

According to the report of Dileepa Ryojun-shi in Sri Lanka, in Sri Lanka, the number of infected people has rocketed in the last few days, and the whole country will be shut down for about 10 days until March 27. In this situation, HBS members from about a hundred houses have done 24-hour chanting relay for one week continuously.

The report says “We are not alone during this difficult time. We share some photos such as house altar (Gohozen) and our figure of chanting, through the Internet to uplift everyone’s spirits with the power of the Buddha. Everyone is delighted by this and devote themselves to their services”.

The report of Khadka Seiji-shi in India says the following in a difficult Indian situation: “I believe Humanity will change their ways and live more nature friendly ways after this epidemic, including me”.  The report of Dahal Seiten-shi in Nepal says “We are chanting here for the current epidemic in the world”. “I will protect these sacred teachings and Shanti Dharma Stupa till my death for a better future”.

Now we are about to face severe circumstances and improve our faith of Odaimoku even more.  It is exactly similar to the Writings of “The Opening of the Eyes” written by Nichiren shonin in an extremely cold Sado island region, “This I will state. Let the gods forsake me. Let all persecutions assail me. Still I will give my life for the sake of the Law.”

This means that even if one will encounter various difficulties, even if gods will abandon him, one shall sacrifice the life in propagation of the Lotus Sutra alone.

The Writings of “Myōshin-ama gozen gohenji” written by Nichiren shonin also says “An illness gives rise to an opportunity to attain the way”. Although new coronavirus is now a major threat to humanity and has caused many victims, it gives us an opportunity to propagate the true faith by leading many people who are suffering, towards the faith of Odaimoku.

Time has come for all HBS members to unite our hearts, and shall pray for end of Coronavirus outbreak, world peace and propagation of the true teachings of Buddha throughout the world.

We also pray and chant Odaimoku in front of the Gohonzon with you.
